If you enter an email address in the HuMo-genealogy admin menu, HuMo-genealogy will use a mail form to allow people to send you an email. Your email address will not be exposed on the internet.

It is possible to add an email link on each family page. In that case a link to the last visited family page will be sent along with the email!

This can be done in the following manner:

  • Go to the admin menu.

  • Click on Family trees.

  • Click on Family tree texts (per language).

  • In the field labeled Lower text family page enter the following text (that is given there as an example): For more information: <a href="mailform.php">contact</a>

It’s also possible to add an extra “Receive newsletter: yes/ no” question in the mailform.

  • Go to admin screen > Control > Settings.

  • Set option “Mail form: use newsletter question” to “Yes”.

If changed to yes the user will be asked if he wants to receive a newsletter (HuMo-genealogy itself does not include an option to send newsletters).
